Objective of role:
The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving the success of our ecommerce strategy. This position involves analyzing data to provide actionable insights, optimizing the customer journey, and enhancing overall ecommerce performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of ecommerce metrics, and experience with data analysis tools.
Detailed responsibilities/accountabilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze ecommerce data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management.

Performance Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for improving conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer retention.
  • Conduct A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve site performance.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI team to enhance the user experience.

Market Research:

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and benchmarks.
  • Monitor industry developments and emerging ecommerce technologies.

Customer Insights:

  • Analyze customer behavior and feedback to understand needs and preferences.
  • Segment customers for targeted marketing and personalization efforts.


  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and merchandise teams to align ecommerce strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for promotional campaigns and product launches.


Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Haravan) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Leverage data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ecommerce analytics or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving ecommerce growth through data-driven insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a retail or consumer goods company.
  • Familiarity with SQL and other database management tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and data visualization software.
  • Understanding of web development and UX/UI principles.
